Declarations of accessibility
The Registry Agency is responsible of making this portal accessible to the widest possible group of users, regardless of the technologies and skills used. We are actively working to improve the accessibility and usability of this portal and in this activity we abide by the available standards and good practices.
In order to meet the requirements and criteria for the level of accessibility set by the European Commission regarding the websites of the public administration, and at the same time to meet the requirements of the current Internet technologies, we will abide by the standards of WCAG 2.0.
Web Accessibility Initiative
This portal will try to cover the level of accessibility according to the latest standards of the World Wide Web Consortium - Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (WCAG 2.0), using best practices and techniques.
WCAG 2.0 explains how to make content on websites more accessible to people with disabilities. Following the guidelines will help more people feel comfortable and take advantage of the Internet.
W3C Standards
This portal is built with code compatible with the W3C standards for XHTML and CSS. It plays correctly in currently available Internet browsers and its use ensures compatibility with future new or improved browsers.
Exceptions
While we strive to ensure compatibility with available accessibility standards, this is not always possible in every aspect. Browsers and Internet development and access techniques are evolving very rapidly, and sometimes some of the standard accessibility requirements become redundant.
In this light, we are constantly developing this portal technologically in order to achieve high standards of accessibility and usability of the content in it.
